Astronomy does not have to be complicated. The Vespera III is designed for anyone who wants to explore the night sky without dealing with complex technology, long manuals or manual settings. Setup, alignment and imaging run fully automatically. You focus on observing and being amazed – the telescope does the rest. This makes astrophotography accessible from the very first night.
Technology working quietly in the background
The Vespera III combines a new optical design with intelligent electronics. High-quality lenses made from special glass are precisely matched to the built-in image sensor. Focus, tracking and image stacking are controlled automatically. The telescope aligns itself with the sky, finds objects on its own and starts imaging without manual input. All observation sessions are saved directly to the internal memory – no external computer is required.
Compact design with well-planned optics
The slim, upright design combines optics and motorised mount in a closed case. The apochromatic flat-field quadruplet design with an optimised field corrector reduces chromatic aberration and field curvature. Stars appear sharp and colour-neutral across the entire image field, without loss of sharpness towards the edges.
Even sharpness from edge to edge
The consistent imaging performance ensures that stars are shown with similar sharpness in the centre and at the edges. The image scale is 2.39 arcseconds per pixel. This makes fine structures in nebulae, galaxies and star clusters visible – not through high magnification, but through clearly separated stars and fine brightness gradients in the image.
Observing despite light and weather
Precisely manufactured optical baffles suppress stray light before it reaches the sensor and improve contrast, especially under light-polluted skies. The built-in Sony IMX585 colour sensor with 8.3 megapixels (3840 × 2160) offers a balanced combination of light sensitivity and detail. An integrated humidity and temperature sensor automatically activates the anti-dew system so the optics stay clear even on cool nights, with high humidity or changing temperatures.
Endurance for long nights
The integrated battery allows up to 11 hours of continuous operation. Observations can run from dusk until dawn without external power. All recorded data is saved automatically, and the session ends exactly when you decide.
Features:
Note: The Vaonis LumENS app, an AI-powered astronomy companion, is available free of charge to all Vespera users and enables unprecedented interaction with their telescope. LumENS answers astronomical questions, explains currently observed celestial objects and provides comprehensive, educational content in real time. Users can speak or type - LumENS listens, responds and informs.
